TAP

This style of dance originated in America. It is a theatrical dance using precise rhythmical patterns of foot tapping made by metal taps attached to shoe toes and heels to produce a more pronounced sound. This form of dance is popular in musicals such as 42nd Street in more recent shows like Hot Shoe Shuffle, Tap Dogs and Billy Elliot.

We follow the ADA (Australasian Dance Association) syllabus for Tap. We feel this syllabus offers an excellent grounding for strong technique and leads to the students obtaining their teaching qualifications if they choose to follow this career path in the future.
